Business Analyst- Travel Industry/ Reservation System Business Analyst with

XML and

SHARES, Central Reservation System, (CRS) or any GDS (Global Distribution System) reservation/booking system project experience in the

travel industry using software such as (Amadeus, Sabre, Apollo, Galileo, Travelport, Pegasus etc) is needed to support the development of airline flight itinerary solutions for a major airline reservation/ booking system. Per our client’s policy, individuals hired for this position must be fully

vaccinated against COVID-19 unless otherwise prohibited by law. We comply with federal, state and local laws with regard to accommodations related to this policy. This is a

long term contract; no end date defined position ranging from 18-24months plus extensions. Due to the nature of this project this is considered a

Hybrid position and the candidate will need to be on-site approximately 2 days per week. Local candidates preferred

, but

willing to consider candidates able to relocate at their own expense.
  • The Business Analyst will manage validations and support for development of itinerary solutions, and pricing for an airline reservation/booking system.
  • The Business Analyst is responsible for business validation of new flight shopping enhancements, as well as support and maintenance of current functionality.
  • He/she will participate in test plan creation, execution, and review and assist with error research and analysis.
  • The team will run the day-to-day business relationship with our airline flight search vendors such as Google.

Responsibilities for the Business Analyst- Reservation System:
  • Establish and maintain expert knowledge of current flight shopping/re-shopping on Digital channels, and Contact Center applications.
  • Communicate with Business units and Technology on software, product, and industry requirements.
  • Research and analyze quality issues from key stakeholders including Digital channels, Customer Experience, Contact Centers, and Loyalty.
  • Execution of functional requirements, test plan creation, test execution.

Requirements for the Business Analyst- Reservation Systems:
  • Mid-level position. 5-8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Experience with reservation systems in the

    travel industry such as airline, rail, cruise line, hotel rent a car reservation/ travel booking systems with companies such as other airlines or Expedia, Travelocity, and/ or Kayak, etc.
  • Skilled in XML
  • Tools such as: TFS, ADO, and/or JIRA
  • SHARES or any GDS (Global Distribution System) reservation / booking system experience such as Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport, and/or WorldSpan is required.
