This high visibility position interfaces with executives globally at ExxonMobil, Caterpillar dealers and the Caterpillar Executive Office. Internally this position works with product groups end-to-end aligning on critical customer requirements through driving sales execution with the Construction Industries (CI), Resource Industries (RI), and Energy & Transportation (E&T) Division field-facing teams. The primary goal of the individual in this position is to deliver growth in sales and profit across the fluids business portfolio. This is accomplished by demonstrating strong leadership capabilities (Vision, Strategy, and Execution) to address opportunities and challenges within the CAT enterprise as with the extensive ExxonMobil Global Sales organization.Responsibilities:

Ownership of CAT Enterprise Fluids (Vision, Growth Strategy, Governance Structure, and Portfolio Management)

Drive CAT dealer engagement and relationships working with ExxonMobil regional sales managers

Leading critical growth initiatives driving fluid sales and profitability

Work directly with CAT dealer management and ExxonMobil executives on challenging goals and some sensitive issues

Drive program awareness and engagement with CAT sales force

Oversee and contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, business cases, marketing content, and align with Product Group (PG) on NPI

Overall product fluid health issues covering dealers, factories, and customers

Lead governance structure and quarterly collaboration meetings with ExxonMobil

Define and report sales metrics, results, and license-fee tracking

Work with Fluids & Filters commercial team for marketing material execution

Primary contact for ExxonMobil owned Fluids Selector Tool

License fees, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance, ExxonMobil contracts and agreements

While there are no direct reports in this position, this role is expected to drive leadership conversations and execution with business partners and dealers

Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

10 (plus) years of progressive work-related experience

Strong communication and presentation skills

Understanding of the CAT dealer sales process and dealer operations

Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up-to 50% of the time

Top candidates will also have :

Mater’s degree or extensive business decision making experience

Field experience or similar customer experience

Knowledge of company products and product applications, merchandising programs, and commercial practices and procedures

Experience with the Fluids & Filters business, or knowledge of the products

Experience in NPI and product design/development

Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues and to persuade others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions

Ability to navigate through ambiguous business challenges and skill for persuasion/influence
