ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the delivery of excellence in patient care through assessing and formulating a nursingdiagnosis and establishing goals, planning and implementing interventions, and evaluating patient careoutcomes. Responsible to supervise and to prescribe exercise for patients enrolled in the Cardiac Phase I,II, & III programs. Serves as clinical lead for care and treatment of medical emergency situations withinthe cardiopulmonary department. Exercises independent judgment and decision making within thelimitations and scope of practice. Displays professional, safe conduct in all interactions. Maintainspositive working relationships with staff, other departments, physicians and peers. Displays conduct insupport of CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial Mission & Vision.QualificationsRequirements:
Associate's Degree inNursingor Diploma from an accreditednursingprogram
CurrentRegisteredNurse(RN) license applicable to the State of Texas
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtained within 90 days of hire date
ECG/EKG interpretation skills
