Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly; 7:00am to 5:30pm
Salary range: $31.02 - $50.77 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Completion of an accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology (required) or
High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years work experience in invasive cardiology (required)
One year experience (preferred)
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required) or
RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (required) or
RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (required) and
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT and
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Position Responsibilities Texas Health Cardiovascular Special Procedures Techs are responsible for assessing and recognizing the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful Cardiovascular Special Procedures Techs willprepare the room for examination.
handle patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging.
demonstrate knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment therapy.
administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
process and manipulate images, analyzs image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
