Caregiver

Position is in the home, taking care of a 52 year old disabled Veteran. Pay $16 to $17 per hour. This family has a strong support team in place but additional professional help is needed. Weekday shift 8am to 4pm available.

Overall Responsibilities:

Assist patient with personal care, which may include: bathing/showering, foot and fingernail care, shaving, dressing, hair care, mobility and toileting

Assist with treatments per individualized care plan, which includes giving medications

Assess patient’s condition by monitoring vital signs; recording intake and output; reviewing patient care journal; keeping family informed

Assist patient with homemaking services, which may include: laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, changing linen, cleaning kitchen, hand washing dishes, and preparation of home cooked meals

Shopping and running errands with or without patient; employee uses patients vehicle

Accompany patient on social events; such as, movies, exercise classes, etc.

Be alert to patient’s comforts and needs. Answer their requests promptly

Abide by all policy and procedures that pertain to the role

What we’re looking for

Driver’s license is required

Subject to background screening, reference checking and abuse registry searches

High school diploma or GED

Must be vaccinated

Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Excellent communication skills with a hospitality mindset

Passionate and ability to work well with others

Strong team player
