Job Description:
Position Summar y Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals, ensuring software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form as T-Shaped skills in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOps. A Software Engineer III, is an individual contributor to a team.Required Skills- At least 7 years of experience of programming using Unix, C, WebServices, Oracle/SQL/DB2/Informix.
- Working knowledge of using Agile methodology in a fast paced environment and driving program increment planning sessions leading to creating features/stories.
- Exposure to designing multi-tier application using middle-ware products and integrating multiple system of records.
- Knowledge in functional testing, component integration testing, system integration testing and performance testing.
- Familiarity with Linux Shell Scrip, iSeries internals and Devops Tools like -Git, Maven, Jenkins, BitBucket
- Works independently, with limited direction, and is evaluated through end results.
- Interacts efficiently with internal contacts/teams to drive through the solution and solve problems
- Strong communication skills; proactively bring forward concerns
