Responsibilities for thisCertifiedMedical Assistantopportunity include, but are not limited to:

Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image

Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations

Obtains and records vital signs including, but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.

Administers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration

Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol. Keeps patient exam rooms stocked, clean, and orderly

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, documenting any deviations or issues

May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis

Ensure proper placement of electrodes and obtain clear and accurate EKG readings

Documents patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider

Ensure the proper storage and security of medications in accordance with facility policies

Monitor and report any discrepancies in medication inventory

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CMACERTIFIEDMEDICAL ASSISTANT:

Minimum 1 year of outpatient clinic experience required, including administering injections, conducting EKGs, measuring blood pressure, and POC testing

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Active Certification through the AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA

Spanish speaking preferred
