Work environment: Family Care

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

$1,500 sign-on bonus for eligible CMAs (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Medical Assistant experience (preferred); new grads with completed externship welcome.

CMA - Current Certified Medical Assistant (required)

ACLS or BCLS (preferred)

NCT (preferred)

Position ResponsibilitiesTHPG Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while rooming patients, obtaining chief complaint and vitals, handling of specimens, charting visit information and performing injections as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CMA willhave the ability to perform EKGs, draw blood and administer injections as needed

be able to effectively communicate with both staff and patients and have thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations

demonstrate sound judgement in emergency situations, as well as take appropriate action in urgent circumstances

maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients

possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
