Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pmFamily Care Department highlights:Collaborative work environmentGreat Team!Fast-paced, teaching environment in multi provider officeUnderstanding leadership teamHere’s What You NeedHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)One (1) Year of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)CMA – Current Medical Assistant Certification (required) AndACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (preferred) OrBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (preferred) AndOther NCT - Non-Certified Radiologic Technician training may be required Upon Hire (preferred)Bilingual in Spanish/English (preferred)To be a successful CMA, you will need:Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections as needed by assigned clinic.Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.Demonstrated knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.Thorough knowledge of the meaning and use of medical terminology and abbreviations.Demonstrated sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.Maintains a positive, caring attitude towards patients.Good computer skills using a medical management application.Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.What You Will DoTHPG Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while rooming patients, obtaining chief complaint and vitals, handling of specimens, charting visit information, and performing injections as needed.
