Work Hours:Full Time/ NightsYou Will Be Responsible For:Meets and maintains all elements of Tech I responsibilities / essential job functions.
Creates and maintains a work environment following SHARE guidelines.
Knowledgeable and participates in general departmental operations and able to perform duties in decontamination, disinfection, sterilization logs.
Monitors sterilization logs.
Functions as a resource person for the department(s)
Facilitates the operations of the department by prioritizing workload.
Assists with planning and overseeing the orientation of new employees.
Monitors and tracks the performance improvement indicators.
Manages ordering of general supplies.
Tracks and recovers equipment and instruments issued to the Nursing Units.
Assumes role of coordinator when necessary.
Maintain specialty skills / certification.
Participate in unit based council by attending meetings as required.
Hospital committee participation.
Take ownership in our facility recommending its services to others.
Participate and promote outside community service projects sponsored by our facility.
Manage up staff, maintaining a professional environment.
Preform other duties as assigned.
Assumes on call assignment.
Participates in staff and student development.
Responsible for personal and professional development.
QualificationsWhat You Will Need:Sterile processing certification required.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Three years sterile processing technician experience strongly desired.
