Job Description

As an IT Change/Release Engineer (Enterprise Applications) at Procore, you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders across the organization to analyze effective change management, drive compliance, and assist in releases of our Enterprise systems to ensure that updates to the backbone operations of our business are delivered smoothly.

This position will report to our Sr. Director, Enterprise Applications and will be based in our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA, our downtown Austin, TX office, or remote. We’re looking for candidates to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • In close partnership with the Senior IT Release Manager and cross-departmental system owners, analyze and promote appropriate change and release management, governance, and compliance across our Enterprise systems.

  • Coordinate and assist in change management and SOX IT General Controls compliance reviews. Perform evidence gathering and reconciliation to ensure effective change management processes are in place and compliance of IT General Controls is met.

  • Partner with system owners to provide hands-on support of system releases to deliver new initiatives, feature enhancements, and bug fixes.

  • Ensure change control processes and release readiness criteria have been met prior to release. Validate post-release activities; including rollback and root-cause analysis when an issue is encountered.

  • Partner with business and system owners to document release readiness and compliance results, address potential control gaps, and update process documentation using GSuite Docs, Slides, Sheets, and the Confluence Wiki.

  • As a change/release representative for Procore’s Enterprise compliance programs, help colleagues navigate compliance requirements and embrace transformational change.

  • Perform special projects as determined by IT senior leadership.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree with experience in compliance or change/release management, plus interest in process improvement, software development, audit/compliance, or data analysis.

  • Administration, DevOps, or power-user experience with one or more of the following platforms or tools is preferred: Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Snowflake, Jira, Confluence.

  • Exposure to ITIL and SDLC methodologies in the role of a release manager, project manager, scrum master, administrator, developer, or BSA.

  • Experience with Enterprise Systems change monitoring/management and SOX IT General Controls compliance.

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail, a high degree of motivation, and deadline-driven productivity.

  • Desire to drive compliance and release best practices of key Enterprise Applications.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Interest in handling complex release management challenges (multiple sandboxes or branches, parallel change requests, integration and ecosystem dependencies) is a plus
