Title: CICS Systems ProgrammerLocation: Malvern, PA, Charlotte, NC or Plano, TX(Hybrid) Tuesday, Wednesday, ThursdayDuration: Long Term Contract Position is for a CICS Systems Programmer and a member of the Mainframe Services team that will primarily be accountable for ensuring a highly available mainframe system. This results-oriented job requires a solid understanding of mainframe subsystems in a large scale IBM Parallel SYSPLEX environment.The primary functions of this role are:- Install, upgrade, and manage CICS/MQ environments using SMP/E
- Provide Tier-3 support for the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment
- Install and maintain third party software products related to CICS/MQ
- Planning hardware and system software upgrades and changes in configuration
- Testing and evaluating IT vendor products. Reviewing IT vendor literature to identify product deficiencies, workarounds, and scheduled patches/updates.
- Identifying opportunities to improve system and application performance, including automating manual system tasks
- Monitoring and resolving automated system alerts/alarms that indicate system functions were not completed within established service levels
- Conducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting IT infrastructure
- Training system operators and application programmers
- Assuring compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines, and processes
- Writing documentation, including policies and procedures. Adding, updating, and closing records in the Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management databases (ServiceNow).Qualifications
- We are looking for someone with strong marketing and communications background to create a campaign for the Meeting Experience program for general audiences and targeted communications for stakeholder and executive audiences
- Experience with planning and creating a training program for end users is a plus.
- z/OS concepts and utilities including TSO/ISPF, JES2, JCL, etc.
- z/OS software installation using SMP/E
- CICS concepts and utilities including RDO/DFHCSDUP, DFHSIT, PLT, etc.
- SYSPLEX concepts including Coupling Facility (CF) structures, CICSplex topology (TOR/AOR/FOR), CICS Dynamic Routing, etc.
- z/OS performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning. Utilizing system monitors (BMC MainView) and analyzing SMF records (SAS/MXG).
- z/OS Security (ACF2) and Networking (TCPIP, VTAM)
