Cloud Security Engineer - Direct-Hire/FTE - Dallas/Ft. Worth, TXINSPYR Solutions is Hiring! a Cloud Security Engineer, Direct-Hire/FTE for a premiere client based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. If you're a match or interested, please apply or contact As our Cloud Security Engineer, you will help us build an enterprise cloud security program that mirrors our on-premise program while identifying new and upcoming security issues. You will be working on-site in Coppell, TX for the first 90 days then in the office 3 out of 5 days per week. Full-time remote is not an option for this position as we are managing on-premise tools.What You'll Do
- You'll start your day in an Agile meeting with our team of 12, reviewing the last 24 hours and making the plan for the day. Then you'll get started tackling issues. No two days are the same as you prioritize high-impact issues, present concepts to executives, and recommend and then implement the appropriate solutions.
- Create a documented control gap that we are prioritizing and working through.
- Work through real-time issues identified in hourly reporting while managing large-scale projects and implementations across AQWS, Google Cloud Platform, or new SaaS applications.
- Partake in efforts that shape the organization's security policies and standards for use in cloud environments.
- Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from business leaders to engineers.
- Provide subject matter expertise on information security architecture and systems engineering to other IT and business teams
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
- To thrive in this role, you must have experience using the NIST framework in an enterprise environment with over 5000 employees where you were on a team handling a high volume of issues. You have learned by doing.
- Presentation skills to communicate concepts across every level and division of the business, including the executive team.
- You feel confident asking a lot of questions to clarify what's really happening and then holding people accountable to security standards for vulnerability management, data loss protection, web proxy, firewalls, and more. You should be able to describe this experience in the interview.
- Experience analyzing cloud controls for an enterprise company. You know how to review frameworks and ID gaps, document gaps, and work with other engineers in an organization to help them understand.
- Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS and Azure.
- Practical knowledge of AWS and Azure foundation services related to computing, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, and automation technologies.
