The Schwab CyberSecurity Services (SCS) organization is a centralized Center of Excellence (COE) within Schwab Technology Services (SCS) that provides security services to advance Schwab's security posture of critical assets. The Data Protection Engineering & Development team builds the controls that protect the Firm's data. Do you thrive on being meticulous and detail oriented? Schwab has opportunities for growth. We are implementing and developing security controls with cutting edge technologies in the cloud. This Senior Cloud Security Engineer in Data Protection will join an exceptional team of engineers and analysts whose mission is to protect Schwab's most valuable assets: our client information and their trust. What you are good at- DevSecOps' expertise in building and supporting security solutions for Windows, Linux, above mentioned platforms, including services such as data protection, privacy and compliance, network protection.
- Expertise with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response Tools such as Phantom or Siemplify
- Building and deploying security solutions using technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Developing IaC pipelines using Hashicorp Terraform.
- Communicating with various audiences, including business leaders, engineers, clients, and team members, with excellent ability to convey information that is relevant to the audience.
- Written communication for excellent documentation and reporting.
- Outstanding teamwork across multidiscipline plan-build-run teams.
- Applying your understanding and expertise with systems automation platforms and technologies.
- Using data protection strategies and standards to support application and cloud security.
- Automating security controls, data, and processes to provide metrics and operational support.
- Employing cloud-based APIs when suitable to write network/system level tools for safeguarding cloud environments.
- Developing and delivering solutions using Agile methodology.
- Familiarity with the role of Cloud Security Posture Management tools and using them to implement secure solutions within cloud platforms.
- Practical knowledge of public cloud foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration, security, deployment and management, and automation.
- Strong cloud security knowledge with ability to apply the standard methodologies to public and private cloud platforms.
- Robust development experience using containerized microservice architectures.
- Extensive experience with designing and programming applications using languages such as advanced Java and Python.
- Proficient with Event Driven and API Driven Programming.
- Experience in Security and Orchestration tools such as Splunk SOAR or Chronicle SOAR.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; supervising system health to identify and resolve issues that affect the performance, security, or integrity of the solution.
- Strong collaborative relationships to influence technology partners to achieve appropriate controls and risk mitigation techniques related to the area.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field is preferred
