CNC Machinists- position located in Pueblo, Colorado

Our client is a well-established supplier of precision machined parts with immediate and multiple openings for highly skilled and versatile Manual/Conventional Machinists who are capable of achieving high quality and high productivity outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under little to no supervision (highly autonomous position).
Candidates must have hands-on expert level experience in high tolerance CNC machining (2, 3, & multi-axis mills and lathes).
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Expertise in set up, troubleshooting, and operating 2-axis, 3-axis, and multi-axis CNC mills and lathes machines according to production standards and drawing specifications.
Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical/engineering drawings, GD&T, process documentation, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances and part requirements.
Expertise in use of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gages and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
Experienced with tooling, hand tools, power tools, and cutting techniques for CNC machining.
Ability to write a CNC program at machine controls.
Ability to modify programs as necessary, install tool registers, offset, and compensation.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in fixturing and equipment setup.
Select and secure tooling, fixtures, and materials based on specifications.
Operate machine and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting controls as required.
Perform quality checks throughout the machining process to maintain high standards of precision.
Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results.
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet customer requirements.
Responsible for basic preventative maintenance and good housekeeping.
Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in good working order with a clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, production personnel or other team members to resolve manufacturing and technical problems.
Safely and effectively operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.)
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.
The position requires punctuality, consistent attendance, and self-direction.
Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Effective communicator, independent worker, team player, and have the drive to learn and adapt.
Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
Reliable and have a strong work ethic.
Experience with use of manual lathes and mills a plus.
