Senior COBOL CICS Developer6 month+ consultingFort Worth, Texas (remote option) IMMEDIATE new job openings for 2 Sr. Cobol CICS Developers to join our team and work on-site at our client’s global HQs based out of Fort Worth, Texas. Remote is an option, but ideally 2-3 days/in office is preferred. This is a a Sr. Programmer Analyst responsible to analyze and evaluate current and proposed data processing solutions to provide improved and efficient productivity for the development, implementation, and on-going maintenance of applications in his/her assigned area of responsibility. The ideal candidate for this role will be well-versed with CICS, Expediter, VSAM, Batch, COBOL, and Socket interfaces. This group supports their apps 24 X 7, so this individual would be on- call on a rotating basis. Currently have both Mainframe and SQL Server, so this individual will be working with some 3rd party software through the SQL Server side. Will work with 3rd party software to interface with the Mainframe, so they need someone that has experience interfacing mainframe with 3rd party software. They specifically use proof of delivery and smart doc. They do both maintenance and new development. Required Skills (3+ years with)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support programs considered as more complex components of the application in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Assist, as required, in preparing and presenting system and program design technical reviews and/or walk-thrus.
  • Complete projects within the time schedule and efficiently handle multiple assignments.
  • Ensure that assigned projects are thoroughly tested and documented, pass a quality assurance review and are accepted by the requestor prior to implementation.
  • Assist in problem determination, design, and development of open system applications.
  • Ability to communicate with end-users regarding application problem resolution and/or system development.
