Amazon Web Services (AWS) business is rapidly expanding its global presence and we are looking for a highly motivated Compliance Specialist to help lead our Security Assurance Engineering and Architecture Readiness team.As part of the AWS Security Assurance team, you will build the bridges between security, technology and compliance by working directly with our AWS service teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and related Amazon corporate teams. You should be an innovative security/compliance professional who has the ability to dive deep into a variety of complex architectures, understand IT processes, and map product offerings to existing and emerging compliance standards. You will help define the strategy to drive and scale the engineering and architecture readiness program through innovative process changes across multiple organizations and teams.Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. Work with security assessors to identify program improvements, lead and execute process improvement projects

Serve as the point of contact with internal audit teams to understand needs and influence team priorities

Triage resources in support of program operations

Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well balanced life—both in and outside of work.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS·Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent experience·2+ years of experience in project/program management in a technical field·2+ years of experience in software engineering, security, or compliance consulting or advisory work in support of a highly technical environment·2+ years of experience in any combination of the following: assessing/documenting/developing IT architecture and systems, software development, IT security.·2+ years of experience developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships across large organizationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Understanding of AWS solution high level design.· Experience in driving automated tooling in support of security controls.· Experience supporting information security control audits (e.g. NIST 800-53, ISO 27017/27018, PCI DSS, SOC, FedRAMP).· Experience in generating automated metrics to measure IT security effectiveness and consistency.· Knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, security protocols, cryptography, and application security.· Understanding of cloud computing services/deployment architecture.· Proven ability to succeed in cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management; excellent interpersonal skills.· Proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to various levels of management including precise and effective customer communications.· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this roleAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
