Job Description:Fluor is seeking candidates for the I-35 Capital Express South project in Austin, TX.The approximately 9-mile project will add two non-tolled high-occupancy vehicle managed lanes in each direction along I-35 from U.S. 290 West/State Highway 71/Ben White Boulevard to State Highway 45 Southeast. Fluor’s scope includes a combination of at-grade and elevated lanes in the median, reconstruction of bridges and frontage roads, the addition of a shared-use pedestrian and bicycle path, and enhanced safety and mobility improvements.The construction engineering role will support the construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision as well as helping to satisfy quality requirements on the project. Participate in safety program, including weekly crew meetings Assist craft and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings, including writing and helping resolve RFI’s Assist in planning and tracking quantities, manhours and schedule progress in coordination with project controls group Management of subcontractors, including monthly schedule and payment progress Change management related to contract changes, including cost estimating and tracking potential change orders Discipline assignment may include maintenance of traffic, drainage, utility, roadway and/or structures Support the construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision as well as helping to satisfy Quality requirements on the project. Initiates action when necessary to ensure the project is being built as specified in the scope of work. Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of construction managers, superintendents, and contractors and provides specific expertise for problem solving activities Establish and maintain effective communication between the company and the design engineer to ensure the timely flow of design documents and information Coordinate the preparation and implementation of the project quality program when the quality function is the responsibility of the construction engineering department; report the status of functions performed by the construction engineering department to project management Other duties as assignedJob ID: 145933BRCity: BudaState: TexasCountry: United StatesWe are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
