Job Title: Construction Facilities Project Manager Job Location: Austin, TX Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering with at least 2+ years of project management experience on design and construction projects OR
- Additional related experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis up to four years.
- Knowledge of project management practices for managing cost, schedule, and performance.
- Technical knowledge of facilities infrastructure design and construction projects.
- Familiarity with the standard & technical specifications for transit infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of construction management practices.
- Knowledge of industrial, HVAC, and electrical equipment and maintenance thereof, preferred.
- Familiarity with various project delivery methodologies such as design-bid-build, construction manager at risk, design-build, etc.
- Self-motivated and focused on opportunities to continuously improve skills and processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment in a matrix organization, partnering well with other employees, management, stakeholders, users, business personnel, vendors, service providers, and contractors.
- Motivated to undertake project management duties and tasks as assigned.
- Ability to be a positive and constructive contributor in a team-based environment
- Proficiency using Microsoft Project to develop a project schedule, assign resources to tasks, track progress, and analyze workloads.
- Familiarity with field work and construction inspections regarding tenant improvement, infrastructure, and transit projects preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
