Description A large Oil & Gas - Exploration & Production company is looking to hire a contract attorney. Based in Houston, Texas, this role will primarily involve managing FTC second requests in the context of an acquisition project. The successful candidate will be expected to bring their legal expertise to our team, working remotely and potentially during extended hours.Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate FTC second requests related to the acquisition project. Utilize legal software and management systems to maintain project efficiency. Handle complaint administration and documentation processes. Use the Relativity platform for various legal procedures. Apply project management principles to keep the project on track. Handle litigation cases related to the acquisition. Process subpoenas in accordance with federal rules and civil procedures. Provide briefing on the project's status and developments. Administer claims related to the acquisition project. Ensure all legal procedures are carried out in accordance with industry standards.Requirements Must hold a valid license to practice law in any state Proven experience in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry Proficiency in using legal software for case management and research Demonstrable experience in managing legal aspects of projects Familiarity with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Ability to handle complaints and administer claims effectively Proven experience in document drafting and review Familiarity with the Relativity platform is preferred Excellent skills in preparing and presenting subpoenas Experience in handling subpoenas and litigation processes Strong project management skills Knowledge and understanding of management systems is desirableRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
