Join us and let’s get started.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Contract Specialist to be based in Dallas, Texas.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing a specialized or general portfolio of products or services such as professional and construction services, software and hardware, business services, and other categories
Collaborating and consulting with Growth and Regional Development Departments to manage services in support of capital construction project
Collaborating with clients to plan acquisitions, including the development of statements of work and specifications, designing sourcing plans, and developing contracts
Conducting sourcing for an assigned portfolio including, invitations for bids, requests for proposals, requests for qualifications, requests for quotations, requests for information, sole source negotiations, and other sourcing methods
Performing as an integrated team with program clients to administer assigned contracts including contract interpretation, negotiation of changes, performance monitoring and reporting, authorization of payments, expediting, default notices, claims, extensions, terminations, closeouts, and other actions
Consulting with client programs and departments and with contractors
Consultants and suppliers to seek technical and business solutions
Assisting with the planning and conducting of negotiations and may serve as negotiation team member and/or coordinator
Performing market and economic research and cost and price analysis for assigned portfolio
Conducting procurement activities in compliance with applicable and diverse federal, state and local laws and regulations
Performing other duties as assigned
QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional procurement certifications would be a plus
Some knowledge and experience sourcing professional services and/or construction contracts
Some understanding of the construction, transit or civil engineering industries MS Office Skills Experience with Adobe PDF, Writer
Professional Certification such as CPPO, CPPB, or NIGP.
