The Control Wiring Technician is responsible for a wide range of skills including, wire, assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly as required. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.

1st shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Job Duties:

Perform wiring of Control panels, Switchgear, Switchboards and ATS’s.

Proficiently read wiring diagrams and work independently to complete assignments.

Wire electronics such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).

Assemble electrical switchboard equipment.

Perform assigned function from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing.

Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.

Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.

Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude.

Support peers in times of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required; also comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.

Perform other functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical assembly OR manufacturing setting.

Minimum 3 years of experience with wiring in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

2 years of Manufacturing experience.

Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards/switchboards preferred).

Experience wiring power meters and controls.

Experience using various tools including manual/electric/pneumatic tools, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.

Experience with reading wiring schematics and point to point diagrams.

Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading).

Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

Willing to work flexible hours.

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and resourcefulness.

Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.

Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.

Keep yourself and teammates aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety.

Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received.
