Description We are looking for a Controller to join our team in the non-profit industry, based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for advancing non-profit and governmental workforce initiatives, maintaining ethical conduct, and interacting effectively with diverse populations. Collaborative skills and proficiency in accounting software systems are crucial for this role.Responsibilities Lead and advance non-profit and governmental workforce development and advancement initiatives Gather data, compile information and write reports to support decision-making Utilize Accounting Software Systems and other tools like CRM and Crystal Reports to maintain accurate financial records Interact effectively with diverse populations and maintain a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality Demonstrate leadership in managing our accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and budget processes Develop teamwork with staff members and other department supervisors Represent the organization positively to mission-related agencies and the business community Maintain confidentiality of information related to operations, financial matters, and personnel matters Use your proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to perform tasks efficiently Leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to resolve customer inquiries and problems. Requirements Proficiency in use of 3M and CRM systems Experience with Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services Familiarity with Crystal Reports Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing Knowledge of Budget Processes Prior experience in the Non-Profit sector is preferable Controller job title experience is preferred Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
