Description Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing company committed to expanding through strategic acquisitions. The Controller will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and supporting the continued growth of our business. As Controller you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the company, including cost accounting, inventory management, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on approach to financial management while supporting the business in achieving its goals through acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and inventory control, as well as the ability to manage a small accounting team.For consideration and additional information, please contact Kevin Sweet at 682-499-1182 or via email at Kevin.Sweet@RobertHalf.C0MResponsibilities: Oversee all financial accounting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Lead the cost accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely product cost calculations and profitability analysis. Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate reporting of inventory levels, valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS). Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with senior management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections that support business growth strategies. Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Manage and supervise a small team of two accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development. Assist in preparing financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and integration efforts post-acquisition. Work closely with other departments (sales, operations, and supply chain) to improve financial processes and performance. Review financial results and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA is a plus). At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in cost accounting and inventory management, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing and leading a small team. Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, and accounting software (ERP systems experience preferred). Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
