PLC Programmer/Controls TechnicianDFWDescription:As Controls Technician you will focus on maintaining the reliability of the making and packing lines above specified targets. To achieve this, the Controls Technician will focus on technical troubleshooting and implementation of improvements on the several automated systems onsite.Key Responsibilities/ AccountabilitiesProcess Related Activities: Troubleshoot current process PLC program and HMI 6 existing lines. Work with other controls engineers and process engineers to accomplish improvements to the existing lines. Completes tasks on schedule. Demonstrate strong communication with colleagues, management, and customers. Requires only periodic direction from the Project/ Engineering Manager Complies with the rules, procedures and policies as delivered by the organization. Guide less experienced employees technicallyProject Related Activities: Manage and develop project deliverables independently or within a team. Assist in the design of control systems (I/O and Motor lists, P&IDs, etc.) Perform on-site startup, commissioning, validate and support. Provide technical competence during project execution. Get the appropriate colleague, manager or customer involved to resolve issues early in the development process. Identify changes in scope and notify Project/ Engineering Manager in a timely manner. Develop approaches to solve problems, handle customer demands, changes, and complaints. Contribute a broad technical competence to the team, along with superior communication, correspondence, and mediation skills. Provides input and resolves issues during the Estimating and Fabrication processes.Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience Education:

High School diploma

Technical education/ University Degree in Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of industry experience with industrial automation described here in specific knowledge.
