Title: SAS Database AnalystLocation: Houston, TX - REMOTE Duration: 6+ month contract Work Requirements: , Holders or Authorized to Work in the US. W2 ONLY Qualified candidates should send their resume to Taylor Kast at SAS Database AnalystThis position is responsible for the development and creation of marketing campaign populations for retail direct marketing initiatives to residential and small business customers and prospects. Working closely with Marketing, the position is responsible for understanding the marketing requirements, developing and extracting the target population, and formatting the information for campaign execution.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop campaign populations for targeted marketing campaigns for multiple marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with Segment Marketing to understand and document campaign list requirements as defined by Segment Marketing.
  • Coordinate with Channel Marketing to ensure delivery and issue resolution of any campaign population issues during delivery and execution.
  • Provide campaign population insights and report on progress in regularly scheduled marketing campaign meetings.
  • Interact and coordinate with Marketing Analytics, this involves passing data back and forth between the groups.
  • Serve as key contact point to segment marketing and channel marketing.
  • Set coding and development standards for the group to ensure consistency across all campaigns.
  • Serve as overall quality assurance lead for campaign development work.
  • Collaborate with segment marketing to provide additional marketing insights based on campaign marketing list work.
  • Schedule resource assignments to campaigns and handle overall project management guidance for multiple campaign development initiatives.
  • Train and familiarize new campaign operations analysts.
  • Hard working attitude and dependable.
Education:
  • Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in direct marketing or marketing analysis; a strong analytical, quantitative, and logical problem-solving skill set required. Experience using SAS software and a good understanding of the UNIX environment are required.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent SQL and relational database skills.
  • Outstanding SAS or other statistical and data analysis tool skills.
  • Strong UNIX and Windows environment skills.
  • Data manipulation, preparation, and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Familiarity with marketing campaign concepts and customer segmentation.
  • Experience with campaign management tools preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Track record of on-time delivery of campaign and project deliverables.
  • Thorough understanding of direct marketing and campaign management concepts.
  • Project management tool skills such as Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrate high degree of ethics and strong sense of business judgment: ability to operate within NRG's STRIVE values.
