Work environment: Radiology CT Scan

Work hours: PRN, Rotating shifts, Call required

Salary range: $33.53 - $45.90 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff. Associate Degree (preferred)

1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or

No experience with ARRT-CT (required)

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required) and

CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologists Sonography by TDH or TMB (required) and

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

Position Responsibilities A Texas Health CT Rad Tech is responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols, and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CT Rad Tech willprocess and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.

correctly send and transfer images to PACS.

assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.

operate, care for and maintain equipment.

prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).

administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.

maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
