Customer Reliability Engineer Intern (PT)

The Customer Reliability Engineer Intern will learn critical knowledge needed to effectively represent the company at an in-plant site as a Customer Reliability Engineer. The role is designed to give a Mechanical Engineer student exposure to John Crane mechanical seals and related products through hands-on work. This is accomplished by working rotations in the Inspection/Repair, Maintenance, Assembly, and Engineering/Sales Departments.

  

This is a part-time (benefits eligible) year-around role with flexible hours based on school schedule. Inspects, disassembles, and cleans mechanical seal parts.Reviews part print drawings and makes judgements on parts reparability.

Laps mechanical seal faces to design tolerances.Assembles mechanical seals, pressure tests, and prepares for shipment.Conducts mechanical seal failure analysis and failure root cause analysis. Assist Sales Team with field needs and customer inside support.Works with branch and regional engineering team for customer process application reviews.Works with Reliability Engineers to run calculations over new and existing seal designs.Communicates with stakeholders at various levels and disciplines.
