Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space (CEW&S) is looking to hire a Cyber Network Engineer to plan, implement, and operate network services/systems, including hardware and virtual environments.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary documentation, including data flow diagrams, network diagrams, requirements documents, design criteria, and test documentation to support baseline management, configuration control, and engineering activities. • Define and execute a disciplined process for controlling and evolving baselines and enhancing systems and their components. • Procure and integrate Government-approved tools, hardware, and software into the baseline. • Identify emerging requirements for customer requirements that are met. • Participate in the unit change boards, Integrated Product Team (IPT), and Program Management Office (PMO)-driven requirements boards. • Provide necessarily written agendas, post-meeting minutes, technical diagrams/drawings, and spreadsheets to support the successful conduct of these boards, as required. • Provide Unit Line Maintenance defined as day-to-day operations which differ from the life cycle support provided by the PMO. • Install, document, and test components. • Maintain network configuration diagrams of network components. • Maintain lists, either electronic or manual of all hardware and software supporting Cybersecurity Assessment (CSA) testing. • Maintain configuration baselines for the approved systems and components. • Install, configure, and test local area network (LAN) hardware and software components and cabling. • Analyze, troubleshoot, document, resolve and report problems as they are encountered • Implement security recommendations for mission and support functions. • "Monitor for updates" and install vendor security patches and measures IAW applicable guidelines. • Establish and maintain all assets including firewalls, DNS, Windows Internet Name Service (WINS), Exchange services, routers, Storage Area Networks (SANs), and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS). • Modify systems IAW with approved change request process. • Document and track configuration and assets. • Test tools, network subsystems, and interfaces. • Develop, review, document, and finalize requirements necessary to satisfy DoD IA controls including the applicable artifacts

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance, willing to comply with SAP requirements.

Preferred Requirements

• CISSP preferred • Knowledge and experience in Cisco, Dell, HP, Vyatta, Juniper, Brocade. Multiple levels of routers, switches, and firewalls across topologies that include 10 / 100MB / 1000 over Cat5 and Fiber, 1GB over Cat5 and Fiber, Optical Carrier (OC) 3 ATM, OC48 High-Level Data Link Control (HDLC), OC48 Packet Over SONET (POS), OC192 HDLC, T1-T3 (telecommunications carrier systems), and wireless technologies including, but not limited to, 802.11a / b / g / n. • Knowledge of and experience with Routers, Switches, SAN: CISCO, Juniper, Foundry, Extreme Networks, HP, Dell, Cisco OpenWorks, Load Balancers.
