Cyber Security Analyst

Description We are looking for a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. In this role, you will be focusing on the management and monitoring of security events, performing detailed analysis of various threats, and collaborating with vendors and IT teams for threat mitigation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to make significant contributions to our IT operations. Responsibilities: Participate in the design, engineering, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity systems. Continuously monitor and identify security threats, analyze, and document security incidents. Collaborate with vendors, online resources, and IT teams to identify and understand security threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits impacting the enterprise environment. Coordinate urgent response, containment, and remediation of security events. Provide analysis on security enforcement technologies such as SIEM, anti-virus, content filtering/reporting, malware prevention, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, web application firewalls, messaging security platforms, and vulnerability scanners. Perform knowledge transfers, create KB and SOP articles, and coordinate meetings to disseminate information on identified threats. Offer ongoing recommendations to the IT team on tuning and best practices. Actively research current threats and attack vectors exploited in the wild. Collaborate with IT teams to conduct security investigations. Assist in the development and maintenance of IT security policies. Audit configurations of existing technologies and platforms and present recommendations on emerging information security technologies. Manage implementation activities for security controls within the company. Requirements Must hold a degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field Proven experience in a Cyber Security role Strong knowledge of cybersecurity procedures and best practices Proficient in conducting security audits to identify vulnerabilities in the system Ability to develop strategies to handle security incidents and coordinate responses Familiarity with software and security architectures Experience in developing and implementing security policies Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls Excellent communication skills to convey security issues to peers and management Ability to stay updated with the latest intelligence, including hackers’ methodologies, in order to anticipate security breaches detail oriented certification in Cyber Security such as Certified Information Systems Security detail oriented (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) would be advantageous.
