Position: Cyber Security ConsultantLocation: Austin ,TXDuration: 12+ months Description: Senior Information Security consultant will serve as Information Security and Risk Management team member and be responsible for supporting merger and acquisition (M&A) activities including pre and post technical analysis, assessment, and recommendations. Responsibilities:• Collaborate with merger and acquisition internal business and IT team in support of holistic, technology due diligence assessments, remediation, and transition services to support M&A activity• Identify remediation opportunities through analysis of existing technology systems, cybersecurity maturity, and business processes• Leverage technical expertise in cybersecurity to perform due diligence and assessment work for M&A activity• Create necessary playbook to leverage across multiple M&As for Day zero thru completetransition• Provide strategic cybersecurity M&A advisory and compliance consulting services ranging from security assessments to policy definition and adoption• Document current state review of existing cybersecurity organization, processes, andtechnologies to deliver key findings and recommendations• Develop implementation and migration strategies and roadmaps to achieve seamless transition, compliance and strengthen their cybersecurity posture• Actively build a professional and affiliate network in the consulting, cybersecurity, M&A, and broader tech communities• Performs network security audits and testing and evaluates system security configurations to ensure efficacy and compliance with policies and procedures• Partner with IT, Legal, HR, and other business units to manage and implement information security controls across global Applied Materials locations• Conducts penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems and/or networks (Prior to and post integration)• Display strong technical aptitude on IT Security, Enterprise Firewalls, Identity Management, End Point security technologies, and Email Security, monitoring capabilities and analysis Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field• Minimum 7- 10 years of progressive experience in Cyber Security• Information security certification is preferred• Proven track record and experience in executing information security related projects in a global company• Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills; ability to clearly articulate and present complex advice to management and leadership teams• Excellent analytical skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and work well in a dynamic, global company• Ability to work both independently and work within a team to analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions
