As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your team, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team’s strategic vision and plan and ensuring that your team’s actions align with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.
This role will evaluate, procure, implement, create, and test tools and techniques to harden, maintain, verify, and integrate security and resiliency into all on-premise and cloud compute and storage platforms across the company. Additionally, the Manager will manage a portfolio of hardware and software solutions that provide cyber defenses across the entire spectrum of the cyber-attack chain. This position will directly contribute to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture and lead the security vision and strategy around all cloud-based applications (including Infrastructure, Platform, and Software-as-a-Service (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).As the primary conduit between your employees and upper leadership, your role in communicating and modeling the values and guiding principles of our company culture is of vital importance. Takes the time to get to know or reach out to candidates who show potential that may not come forward on their own.COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY: Takes measures to ensure employee and member information is kept confidential and adheres to IS security policy.Provides the strategic technical direction and advises on best practices to mature our Google Cloud Platform and Azure cloud security.Develops and coordinates cloud security strategy and defines the transition to and adoption of secure cloud services; communicates with project stakeholders to effectively convey technical and process improvements requirements.Recommends tactical and strategic initiatives to eliminate or mitigate risks.Monitors and assesses new and emerging threats posing a risk to cloud and on-premise computing environments.Documents and advises on areas of security improvement that balance risk with business operations and do not diminish efficiencies or innovation.Implements security solutions to support the cybersecurity vision and strategy.Documents process, workflows, and tool implementations via technical documents.Specializes in cloud deployments, containerization, and add-on security products to unique environments.Configures and maintains security controls and provides standard operating procedures and improved metrics and operational support.Leverages security services to enhance preventive, detective, and response capabilities.Assists with automating security policies, standards in cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.REQUIRED7+ years’ in an engineering and architectural role.Possesses and maintains a firm understanding of the offerings within Azure and the Google Cloud platforms for cloud security and their application.Demonstrated ability to work in agile environments focused on fast and continual value delivery.Knowledge of cloud-native practices and best practices to advise the security organization.Extensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Endpoint Security, Application listing, Microsegmentation, Container Security, Axonius, Cloud Security, Networking Security, Akamai WAF, Zero Trust, and/or Security Monitoring.
