Data Architect – Lead/ Manager

Location: Plano, TX

Job Length: Long term

Requirements:
  • Develops, maintains, and supports robust and sustainable data movement and transformation architectures for the enterprise-data warehouse and database technologies.,

    both in the cloud and on-premises
  • Works closely with other IT team members to develop, implement and support robust database and ETL technology solutions for all facets of the organization
  • Identifies and implements processes, monitoring tools and communication frameworks to create a collaborative structure for problem resolution from service partners supporting the application portfolio
  • Strong communication skills, communicating with cross functional and program teams
  • Heavy supplier management skills.
  • Experience in communicating to internal/external stakeholders; mediating with IT groups; working as lead/ manager on cross-functional teams/projects.
  • Should be self-driven and be able to understand the complex working systems involving multiple teams and take initiatives to improve and modernize the current process (involves systems like PeopleSoft, Workday)

Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering scalable & high-volume big data & data warehousing product to support operational and analytical data needs for operational systems, data science and analytics teams
  • demonstrated experience as a Data architect, integrating and analyzing data, as well as designing, tuning, and developing SQL statements, including Stored Procedures, Views and User-Defined Functions
  • Strong knowledge of Big Data Cloud /open-source Platform technologies such as AWS, Kafka, Snowflake – cloud data warehousing, S3, Apache Nifi, Apache Spark, Python, Lambda, SNS, EC2, Apache Airflow, Data Security Framework, Elastic Cache, Redis, and/or RESTful APIs Working knowledge with one of the following BI reporting tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Proficiency in designing and developing architectural diagrams of mappings, transformations, sessions, and workflows, and deploying data solutions.
  • Experience working through all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications
  • Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, BSA's, Multivendor, Developers, Designers, Test Engineers)
  • Solid technical and analytical skills with ability to communicate (oral and written) across the organization and manage multiple releases / priorities
  • Exp with Talend and Databricks preferred

EducationBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in the field .
