Data Discovery (BigID) Analyst. This is a 06+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Fort Worth, TX(Onsite). Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key Responsibilities:The Data Discovery Analyst will work as part of the Asset Discovery team to analyze the scan results of enterprise structured and unstructured data for purposes of data classification. Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- Top Skills: BigID, Data Privacy, Data PII(Personally Identifiable Information)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 3+ years progressive broad-based information systems and business experience.
- Knowledge of data management disciplines such as data discovery, data governance, data classification, and data privacy.
- Experience in assessing data classifications (e.g. PII, passwords/secrets) across structured and unstructured data sources.
- Working knowledge of Boolean and RegEx searches.
- Proficiency and experience with gathering, cleaning, integrating, analyzing, modeling, and presenting large data sets using Excel, PowerPoint and/or Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI.
- Demonstrated proficiency in strategic thinking and creative problem-solving with the ability to translate data analysis into logical and actionable outcomes.
- Ability to interact with enterprise product teams, data analysts, and data governance teams for cross functional effort.
- Ability to effectively communicate progress, escalations, and issue analysis to key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time to meet commitments and expectation.
- Experience with performing automated data discovery using BigID or a similar technology.
- Basic knowledge of the different architectural components of a hybrid enterprise infrastructure.
