JOB SUMMARYThe Fuels Engineering team supports the Wholesale and Retail Fuels teams for Pricing, Ordering, Fleet, Accounting, and Supply. The Engineering team supports both custom applications and third party SAAS applications including a third party pricing tool, Salesforce, and a Customer Portal for our Wholesale team. For our custom applications we are using Spring Boot Java for API and Microservices development to provide services for our Fuel Pricing and Wholesale Teams, so they can push fuel prices from our Store Support Center to the Price Sign at the store in near real time and send daily price notifications to customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES• Work closely with business and/or Product Owner to understand business needs to identify data and provide required capabilities to business• Analyzing data as it relates to business needs and use cases for applying predictive algorithms and machine learning• Amalgamate different data sets to provide business capabilities• Collaborate with team members and tech lead to define, review and finalize design• Build data analysis dashboards and reports based on business use cases• Support current dashboards built by the business and assist business as they build their own dashboards• Operational support to assist in data setup for stores and incident management• Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies and team discussions “MUST HAVE” SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS• Proficiency with data analysis, data aggregation, and SQL• 5+ years of foundational experience with Data Transformation for data cleanup and conversion• 2 -3 years of experience with Databricks and PostgreSQL• 5 -10 years of experience building data models and machine learning regarding data/domain• 5+ years of experience with Power BI• Must be able to demonstrate skill sets with past experiences at a previous client• Self-driven and proactive (someone that can take an initiative and drive to get tasks done not requiring someone to tell them what to do)• Candidate should be self-driven, proactive (someone that can take an initiative and drive to get tasks and does not need daily directions) and should act with urgency• Strong written and verbal communication skills ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSNice to have skill set include:• Experience with cloud tech stack• Kafka streaming• Scala• Spark• Retail or Fuels experiencePeterson Technology Partners (PTP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workforce.About the Company:Peterson Technology Partners (PTP) has been Chicago's premier Information Technology (IT) staffing, consulting, and recruiting firm for over 23+ years.
