Data Engineer

TITLE: Data Engineer

• Create development strategies, annual and long-term forecasts and analyzing production/capital scenarios that help maximize production/minimize capital
• Work to ensure only wells that meet corporate hurdle rates are drilled
• High involvement in annual and ongoing budgeting activities; prepare/coordinate budgets and corresponding economics
• Identify ways to improve team processes and ways to decrease cycle time
• Identify when performance is both above or below expectations

• Designs and performs data extraction, assessment, translation, transformation, and load (ETL) processes
• Hands on experience in ETL Informatica and Microsoft SQL server database with both SQL and PL/SQL skills.
• In charge of building data equity, it's underlying code, tools, databases, and related infrastructure
• Develops and maintains scalable data engineering pipelines to their full extent of engineering needs
• Data systems architecture experience, crafting larger scale data engineering solutions, break down to smaller goals, prioritization
• Experience with relational data engineering eco systems (preferably sophisticated disbursed data)
• Analytics understanding is a must (preferably Power BI)
• Experience with Agile methodologies/Dev Ops environment.
• Responsible for configuring database and data platform connections, design semantic layer for reports and self-service BI.

• Bachelor of Science, Technology, Computers, Engineering, Data Analytics or equivalent
• 7+ yrs. of total experience
• Experience in the Drilling and Completions functions of an Oil and Gas company is preferred
• Experience with Python and WellView is preferred
