Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Dallas, TX 75254 (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote)

Description:As a Data Governance Specialist you will be responsible for implementing Data Management (Catalog, Lineage, DQ, MDM, Metadata) solutions in close partnership with Business, Technology and Data Governance teams. What you'll do:
  • Establish data management tools and processes through analysis, design, development, and configuration framework
  • Optimize data delivery through identification, design, process improvement to create scalable automated processes
  • Create and optimize data sets, data pipelines and architectures
  • Build and maintain infrastructure to optimize ETL from various data sources
  • Partner with Governance teams to document data quality KPIs, build MDM routines & workflows to measure performance
  • Partner with Business, product, and application teams to ensure data requirements are documented and understood
  • Develop data standards for Critical Data Elements
  • Create processes that support data transformation involving data structures and metadata components

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent technical expertise.
  • 2+ years of experience with data governance/data management principles, data quality, data management tools and platforms
  • 2+ years of experience with Data Design, Data Architecture, or Big Data repositories
  • 2+ years of Master Data Management(MDM- Data Domain, strategies and methodologies, IT architectures, data standards, design and implementation of solutions and general knowledge of a business function(s) and of business operations)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams and drive issues to closure
  • Understanding of Data management and data stewardship roles in an organization

Technical Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python and scripting knowledge and experience working with a variety of databases (Oracle, DB2, etc) with ETL process
  • Experience with at least one MDM tool (i.e., Informatica, Profisee, etc) and preferably a Data Catalog tool (i.e., Informatica, Alation, etc) or data platforms (i.e., Palantir foundry)
  • 2+ years’ experience with ETL and data integration development leveraging multiple tools (Informatica)
  • 2+ years of experience building MDM workflows, UI to support data governance and data management functions
  • 2+ years of experience with MDM tool administration, performance tuning and configuring tool for extensibility
  • 2+ years of experience building integration with systems with REST APIs
