Job Details: Summary: Data Quality Analyst/Specialist aria-hidden="true" Must have a holistic perspective on the entire data governance process from both a business and technical perspective. Gather business and technical requirements and Technical implementation and support Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Lineage and other essential Data Governance functions. At a high-level, need someone with experience with the

IBM Tools Suite (specifically IMAM + IGC). Good experience with data lineage and interfacing to various other sources including cloud, etc. aria-hidden="true"

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: aria-hidden="true" To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
  • Responsible for gathering business and technical requirements to capture metadata and lineage working with Business and Technical SMEs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Business and Technical SMEs, Architects, Analysts , Developers and other IT and business teams.
  • Ability to develop Metadata and Data Lineage Solutions for multiple data sources across On Prem and Cloud environments including but not limited to Databases, Flat Files, JSON, APIs, Kafka, ETL/BI Tools etc.
  • Create, develop, configure and execute end to end business and technical data lineage across disparate sources in accordance with the Data Governance Standards, Policies and Procedures.
  • Experience working on metadata management, administration, support and ingest data management assets using extension mappings, custom data assets, metadata bridges, connectors, third party metadata bridges ensuring data lineage/ source to target data mapping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:
  • Five+ years of Experience with

    Metadata Management tools such as IBM InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager, Open IGC.
  • Experience with Data Governance, Data Profiling and Data Quality tools such as IBM InfoSphere Information Server Suite 11.x(Information Governance Catalog, Information Analyzer etc.).
  • Experience with big data/ Hadoop utilizing cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services/ Google Cloud Platform
  • Proficient with SQL.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence/ Reporting tools such as Cognos/ Tableau/ Business Objects.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office desktop tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience with Databases (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Amazon Redshift).
  • ETL tools (DataStage, Talend, Pentaho etc.)

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Five or more years of experience in data governance disciplines: metadata management; data lineage; data quality analysis; data profiling; and business intelligence.

Nice to Have:
  • DAMA certification
  • Perform requirements gathering, Data Analysis, Data Profiling to enable all the essential functions of the Data Governance.
  • Create, Develop and Deploy Data Quality Rules over the critical data elements(CDEs) identified based on the business requirements.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management.
