This means your Kiewit adventure is custom-designed to meet our shared needs.Responsibilities Implement and oversee district estimating program and activities including the development of policies and procedures. Assist district manager in the review of all estimates; arrange and coordinate second estimates, maintain past cost history and comparable details. Maintain training program for estimating staff, update and maintain lead estimator and sponsor manuals and supervise district scheduling department. Maintain district standard for control budgets and district staffing chart, and assign field engineers as needed. Coordinate with the business development department in the preparation of proposal documents. Participate in and manage estimate reviews and bid submittals; manage the estimating lead staff, superintendents, and engineers for electrical, instrumentation, civil and mechanical portion of numerous OGC estimates (Refinery, LNG, Petrochemical, etc). Ensure training of all new graduates is scheduled for engineers in estimating and Field Engineer duties. Provide estimating support for numerous projects, perform quantity takeoffs and solicit, evaluate and incorporate vendor or manufacturer material and subcontract pricing. Prepare recaps, pricing sheets, bid forms and other proposal documents for in-house review and bid submittal.Qualifications Aiblity to travel as needed (around 10%) Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil engineer, architecture, or related field. 10+ years' estimating experience required where you have been the lead estimator for at least half that time. Passion for preconstruction and estimating. Applicant must be familiar with conceptual, hard bid and self-perform estimating. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be detail oriented and technically sound with good communication skills. Strong work ethic is a must. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to utilize computers, and experienced with Microsoft Office, On Screen takeoff, Hard Dollar, Timberline and/or MC2, or other estimating software programs. Interested in professional development and continued education. Hard Dollar Estimating Software experience, LEED AP distinction and BIM experience a plus.Additional Requirements:Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, this position may require an individual to be fully vaccinated by an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.
