LocationPlano, Texas | RemoteResponsibilities- Performs remote installation services for new and existing clients in accordance with the service work during evening hours, typically 5-7 pm.
- Provides systems management (operating system, database administration, and server) troubleshooting, and consultation to clients. Primary areas of support include: Tyler program release and third-party software upgrades.
- Installs and configures applications that run on Microsoft Windows Server.
- Backup and restores databases on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Installs and configures web servers and deploys web products to clients.
- Resolves client inquiries and issues in a timely manner; communicates closure effectively through email and phone communications.
- Escalates to senior team member or department member if a situation is beyond ability and additional assistance is needed.
- Meets service level requirements.
- Collaborates with development and implement departments
- Documents results of service work performed for use by internal staff.
- Bachelor's degree computer science in, MIS, or comparable work experience.
- Relevant experience installing web applications, and other dependencies, on Windows Servers.
- Relevant experience installing or configuring the Microsoft SQL Server database engine.
- Experience with SQL administration responsibilities and writing simple SQL queries.
- Relevant experience and knowledge of server hardware and network configurations, including web servers.
- Relevant experience and knowledge of web server technology, .NET framework, and SSL security.
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a technical/application software support environment is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot server configurations and connectivity issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude.
- Experience with virtualization (VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and similar.)
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and command line.
