About the Role:

The Director, Financial Planning and Analysis plays a critical role by providing financial reporting, business modeling, and decision analytics to ensure effective financial decisions for driving growth of the business. This role will work to expand business models that affect budgets and company disbursements and is responsible for reviewing all department budgets. Additional responsibilities Include risk evaluation, risk management, forecasting economic trends, and enforcing financial policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company's portfolio of businesses.
  • Routinely communicate business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
  • Lead scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the Company.
  • Participate as a key thought leader of the finance team, influencing decision making, and identifying finance priorities.
  • Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis.
  • Develop and execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of Company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools.
  • Lead the preparation of the annual operating plan and budget process for the Company.
  • Prepare presentations in support of senior leadership meetings and various operating units of the Company.
  • Support investment review meetings, pre-review vetting process and all aspects of investment spending analysis and justification.
  • Support the strategic business planning process.
  • Participate in the financial modeling and due diligence efforts related to the Company's ongoing M&A activities.
  • Model potential changes to capital structure, acquisition, divestiture, and shareholder returns.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics of business units.

Qualifications

:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in financial analysis, scenario modeling, risk evaluation, forecasting, investment spend analysis, with 5+ years in a management-level role.
  • Superior modeling capability with spreadsheets, database tools, and business intelligence tools
  • Budget development/review experience
  • M&A support experience
  • Experience in fast-growth business environment
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with expert-level Excel skills
  • SQL proficiency preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a workload with tight deadlines by working extended hours, if needed
