The Director of Cloud Security Engineering specializes in securing next-gen technology in the public cloud. You are a driven people leader with a deep passion to be an accelerator and change agent with the ability to build a security community and progressive Dev/SEC/Op's culture. You will be responsible for innovating, developing, and implementing groundbreaking capabilities to secure cloud and cloud-based workloads. You have expertise and experience in all three major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) with both built-in native security controls and capabilities as well as third-party offerings on the market for securing cloud-native applications. This role requires expertise in the cybersecurity realm. What you are good at- Supervising security measures for the protection of Cloud Infrastructure and integrations with experience in all three major CSPs
- Maintains, leads, and challenges the cloud security footprint to bring continuous advancement and maturity
- Assists IT operations and security owners to implement scalable security capabilities and processes in cloud-native applications
- Research and recommend new security technology capabilities and their applicability within the greater organization
- Experienced in being metrics driven with consistent advancement to shaping the organization's security policies and standards for use in cloud environments
- Advising and influencing multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating Cyber Security controls
- An advocate for policy of code, security, and automation. Embracing IAC and the CICD/SDLC lifecycle towards all cloud activities
- Collaborating with application developers and database administrators to deliver creative solutions to difficult technology challenges and business requirements
- Applying adept understanding and experience with systems automation platforms and technologies
- Strong people leadership in the following skills:
- Capability to provide the highest level of functional expertise and proficient in planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods of performing work.
- Proficiency in translating strategic plans and goals into tactical plans and objectives for setting priorities.
- Experience and expertise in interacting with executives and program partners with strong presentation and collaboration skills.
- Possess broad and deep knowledge within the cybersecurity industry to impact strategy, policy and process development as technical expert and inspiring leader for cloud security to improve business outcomes.
- Experience in Cloud Security within the Financial Services sector
- Experience with native tooling in Public Cloud offerings as well as third party security controls
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field highly preferred
- Multiple certifications in cybersecurity and cloud cybersecurity highly preferred (CISSP-Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional, CISM - Certified Information Security Manager, CCSK - Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge)
