Director of Infrastructure Engineering

We are unable to sponsor as this is a permanent full time roleA prestigious fortune 500 company is on the search for a Director of Infrastructure Engineering. This position will be a director of storage and backup. This director will drive digital transformation and modernization into the cloud. This is not a hands on position as they will focus on managing people. The current company environment is EMC and NetApps and they are moving from IBM to Dell AVAMAR. Responsibilities:

• We assure Stability, Availability and Reliability for 1000's of servers to support a wide range of applications in a hybrid Cloud environment
• We strategize and transform IT with Automation and Process Engineering
• The Director of Infrastructure Engineering will be an integral part of the IT Infrastructure Engineering Team and will be expected to:
• Develop teams of Engineers to think and execute proactively to ensure the stability and security of the platform
• Identify, Influence and Implement technology, process and skill changes to modernize our Infrastructure

• College Degree or equivalent experience of 10+ years
• 5+ years of experience managing as skilled team of Engineers
• Ability to drive accountability for team performance and continued improvement of execution
• Communicates well within the team to set clear goals and effectively relay the status and accomplishments to management
• Must not only lead current technical trends, but also anticipate the team’s growth in our future state technologies
• An eye for automating common processes
• AWS or other Cloud experience a plus
