What you'll do:

An Operations Associate in Document Control performs a variety of first touch functions for clients, financial advisors, and internal business partners. Key functions in this role include sorting, analyzing and scanning incoming client documents into our imaging system, and validating them into the proper workflows. This role will focus primarily on document prepping and scanning functions. Our internal partners depend on us in order to process client requests in a timely manner. In our Client Records area, we provide our clients with duplicate copies of statements, trade confirmations, and Schwab issued tax forms. Document Control is also responsible for receiving, preparing, and scanning all checks into the Check Deposit Automation system. Flexibility is a key part of this role as our representatives are asked to switch gears throughout the day in order to assist the department with meeting critical cut-off times during periods of high volume spikes.

Although a fixed schedule will be assigned, candidates must have the flexibility to work between the hours of 6:00am to 6:00pm M-F based on business needs. Weekend hours may occasionally be required based on business needs. Although we will try to give you advance notice, your assigned schedule may be changed at any point during your employment. Due to the nature of Document Control functions, this role is required to be primarily onsite with minimal telecommuting availability.

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to process work accurately in a high volume environment.
  • Ability to learn, adapt quickly and understand procedural concepts
  • Can serve as a Subject Matter Expert and a resource to others in the department, to help resolve client service issues
  • Ability to coach, train or mentor within department peer group
  • 2 - 3 years in the securities or financial services industry preferred but not required
  • Proficient data entry and computer skills
  • Flexibility with regard to both schedule and role as associates may be called to perform work outside of the teams core functions, in response to work volumes and business demand
  • Associate or Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
  • Desire for growth opportunities, ongoing training , and further knowledge in the Financial Services industry.
