Location: Dallas/Austin, TX, United StatesRole: EDI Analyst Location: Preferred state TX Responsibilities:• Meeting with clients to understand the business process and discuss the data needs,requirement specifications, and process workflows• Gathering user feedback on the accuracy, efficiency, and functionality of the system• Design, build and maintain, document mapping documents for different EDI transaction sets,translations• Coordinate and Communicate with customers/trading partners for accurate flow of data andtesting the process• Support EDI IT with testing and debugging the issues in the ERP system• Provide efficient EDI solutions to improve business operations, identifying opportunities toimprove internal processes and efficiencies• Training end users on use of the EDI functionalityQualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field• 4+ years of experience in EDI implementations• Understanding of EDI standards and best practices• Experience in Data mapping of EDI transaction sets (preferred - 810, 850, 846, 856, 861, 863,870)• Knowledge of ERP (STRATIX preferred, SAP etc.) and business processes is a plus• Experience with designing and implementing EDI• Must have a strong working knowledge of the EDI X12, EDIFACT standards and experiencemapping those standards• Previous exposure to communication protocols and its setup (i.e. ftp, sftp, http, AS2, VAN etc.)• Good Analytical, troubleshooting skills. and Communication skills• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects, work simultaneous tasks andmeet project deadlines• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment• Ability to collaborate with remote team members in different time-zones and collaborate withthem effectively• Working experience in programming languages such as XML, CSV, SQL, Java, and C+The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst will analyze requirements, produce mapping documents,develop, and test systems if required, and establish communication with trading partners for an efficientflow of data and improving business processes.
