Eaton's Electrical Division is currently seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Nacogdoches, TX facility. Relocation will be offered! Position Overview: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for organizing, generating, completing and updating documentation on existing and new equipment, including process, piping and wiring diagrams. Electrical system design including selection of control components and electrical devices for new and modified equipment. Verify system compliance to applicable electrical and safety codes. Work with maintenance during equipment installation, modification, startup and troubleshooting of equipment. Write and support PLC code and VB applications. Prepares capital expenditure requests, frequent interaction with outside suppliers and agencies, including regulatory personnel. Coordinates projects with people at various levels. - Troubleshoot Electrical issues
- Coordinate projects with people at all levels, departments, and facilities within the organization
- Have frequent interaction with upper management and outside suppliers and agencies, including regulatory personnel
- Lean manufacturing
- Performs work with little or no direct supervision
- Independently design and develop projects to support overall company objectives
- Wastewater and environmental responsibilities may be included
- Prepare capital expenditure requests
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- 5+ years experience in equipment control and test equipment and systems design
- Fluency in being able to work with and apply AB PLC's control systems
- Experience with C and VB
- Experience with or training in lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, six sigma, SMED, etc.)
- SAP business system experiences
- Six Sigma/Green Belt or Black Belt and or MBA
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills and customer service skills
- Electrical industry experience
