Find your future with us.Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate or Experienced Systems and Software Requirements Verification Engineer to join us as part of our Station Management and Control (SMC) team for the International Space Station located in Houston, TX.The ISS continues to serve as a powerful symbol of international cooperation and a beacon of hope for the future of space exploration. As a Requirements Verification Engineer, you will participate in creating requirements for testing, monitor the testing activities, and ensure validity of the testing for electrical systems and software for ISS payloads.You will also have the opportunity to participate in flight readiness meetings with senior NASA managers and stakeholders. Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.

Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

WorkplaceThis position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Houston, TX and Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX . Initial training period requires on site presence. Hybrid work schedule is optional once fully trained and functional in this position.Export ControlThe position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.NASA AccessThis position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

3+ years of experience with requirements, test development, and/or verification testing as, or experience as a Systems Engineer, leading systems engineering, or with integration and test activities (5+ for Level 3)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Past experience in requirements development and verification is highly desirable.

Familiarity with system engineering processes is a plus.

This position does not write code but directly supports the testing of flight software so understanding of software development processes, attention to detail, self organization, and team communication is critical.

Position often requires significant personal effort to meet program schedules.
