Contract to hire opportunity in NE Houston!Schedule - Mon thru Fri (6:00 am – 3:00 pm) - Must be able to work OT and on the weekends when necessary Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and problem-solving skills. Some heavy lifting required (up to 50 lbs.). Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to all weather conditions.
Must have previous Manufacturing experience
Minimum 5 years of technical training or equivalent experience.
Experience with a minimum if 24V AC up to 5KV, Nema 1 through 4 and Nema 4X - Nema 7 would be considered a plus.
Must have understanding of electrical enclosures, PLC and be trained in lock out/tag out.
Must have strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematic, and work instructions.
General Description – To perform installation and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, motor and other mechanical components standard and engineered custom-built air compressors and air desiccant dryers.
Role and Responsibilities:
Read electrical Schematics of motor controls
Point to point wiring
Install rigid & flex conduit, pull wire, and label terminations
Work safely with others to ensure the proper installation of components in electrical enclosures
Upload and download software
Ability to troubleshoot and recognize both wiring and mechanical errors
Previous knowledge of testing procedures and ability to learn new testing procedures as fit for applications
Maintain the cleanliness of the plant, including sweeping, recycling, and trash removal
Ability to learn and understand the current specifications of quality policy and procedures
Education – High School diploma required with technical training in mechanical and electrical systems.
Skills – Must have strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematic, and work instructions. Must also be able to work independently or in a team environment.
