Electronic Fabrication Supervisor
Job Category: Engineering and Technical SupportTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: NoneEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalCACI is seeking an Electronic Fabrication Supervisor for a dynamic electrical/electronic development environment focused on unit fabrication / assembly. in San Antonio, TXWhat You'll Get to Do:- Assess, manage and assign workload of a small group of experienced electronic fabrication technicians; working on CCA's, small assemblies and cables
- Determine the sequence of operations and provides design details or recommends modifications to engineering designs.
- Assemble and construct electrical systems, prototypes, and hardware components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Sets up and operate equipment, test apparatus, test equipment and other related equipment as needed for the assembly of electrical/electronic systems.
- Trouble-shoot and repair electronic equipment and circuitry, data collection devices, and analytical instrumentation using modern electronic testing equipment.
- Determine electronic and electro-mechanical system design and instrumentation needs from limited documentation, written and verbal instructions.
- Manage a team of 4-6 technicians
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- BA/BS degree and 3 years of work of experience additional work expereince can be used to substitute for a degree.
- 3 - 5 years supervisory and technical lead experience
- Work productivity assessment and reporting
- IPC J-STD-001 (Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies) (P) : IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable & Wire harness Assemblies) (P)
- Experience in assembly of sheet metal fixtures and enclosures, and electronic cables, connectors and circuit boards.
- Experience with assembling, wiring, soldering, and crimping per drawing specifications, modification per engineering change notices, and electrical circuit testing.
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and electrical/electronic schematics.
- Development of test systems, electrical systems, electronic circuitry or avionics systems.
- Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work within a team environment.
