Job Title: Engineering Technician Location: Austin, TX Duration: 12 Months contract Looking for both hardware and software exp to have a good balance of the two along with electronic background, no training on python but if know others should be able to pick them up quickly online training out there on the web, must have motherboard exp Job Description: Working closely with - Validation Engineers, the candidate performs - Validation testing on Atom CPU IPs on different SoCs using UNIX and Windows based software. The candidate should have strong background on building computers, be familiar with computer hardware and must have excellent trouble shooting skills. Candidate should also have sufficient understanding of CPU architecture and components. Applications must be able to assemble a computer system from scratch as well as understand the details of reconfiguration systems with both hardware and BIOS changes. Prepares documentation and provides engineers with status update on - Validation testing. Candidate should have good knowledge of using SW such as Microsoft Windows, Office Outlook, Excel, and Word. Must have good communication skills, be able to Iearn quickly, work well with others and in a fast pace environment. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering required for US candidates. Additional Qualifications: Comp TIA A+ certification or equivalent. Motherboard trouble shooting experience. Familiar with Windows 11/server and Linux. Able to install and configure OS for testing. Prefer experience with programming in Python Knowledge of supporting HW such Oscilloscopes, National Instruments, Voltmeters, etc. Ability to read and understand schematic and board files. Highly motivated and able to work independently.
